ScreensDesign
ScreensDesign is an app design library: full recordings of top-charting iOS apps, from onboarding through the paywall to what comes after, with every screen tagged and a revenue and download estimate for each app.
It suits founders designing a subscription app who want to study how apps that earn handle onboarding and paywalls, and to let an AI agent study them too.
There is no free plan; Pro is $39 a month or $299 a year, lower in some countries, as checked on 30 October 2026.

- Our take
- Founders designing a subscription app who want proof from apps that earn. Watch a top app's onboarding and paywall as a recording with its revenue estimate beside it, then let Claude, Cursor or Codex study the same flows through ScreensDesign's MCP server.
- Pricing
- PaidMid priceOne plan, Pro: $39 a month or $299 a year, plus VAT where it applies, as checked on 30 October 2026; a Halloween price of $199 a year runs until 1 November. The IndieHacked breakdown
What it does
ScreensDesign records iOS apps from the top charts end to end, from the first screen to after the purchase, and splits each recording into chapters: onboarding, paywall and what follows. Every screen is tagged and searchable, and each app shows estimated revenue and installs, its paywall type and how many steps its onboarding takes. The library held 2,877 apps on 30 October 2026, by its own count.
Ask the Library answers questions across the recordings, and Create generates onboarding, paywall and app screens from a one-line description, using patterns from the library. A hosted MCP server lets ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Cursor and Codex search the same data, and it comes with Pro. Separate sections cover App Store screenshots, web onboardings and apps removed from the store.
Who it suits
Founders building a subscription app on iOS, where onboarding and the paywall decide whether the app earns. ScreensDesign puts a revenue estimate beside every app, so you can study the flows of apps that make money. Its own guidance adds that the figures "do not establish that a design pattern caused higher conversion."
It fits a workflow built around an AI coding agent. Through the MCP server the agent sees every step of a recorded flow instead of the few screenshots you paste in, and Create drafts screens to start from. One Pro plan covers the library, Create and MCP.
Not the right fit for
Founders building for Android or designing a web app. The library is iOS apps, with web onboardings as a section of their own; Mobbin covers iOS and the web, and AppShots covers iOS, Android and the web.
Founders who want to try it free first. There is no free plan or trial, payments are not refunded once access starts, and the yearly plan is the cheaper way to pay. The screens belong to the companies that made them: ScreensDesign's terms allow research and inspiration, not republishing.
