The IndieHacked breakdown
What it does
AppShots collects screenshots and UX flows from real apps on iOS, Android and the web. You search with Magic Search or filter by category, industry and platform, and each app links to similar ones. Its explore page counted 617 apps, 116,231 screens and 5,897 flows on 30 October 2026.
The free Basic plan shows hundreds of apps and keeps up to 3 collections. Pro opens the premium apps, every flow and unlimited collections, removes the ads, and lets you copy a screen or download one screen or a whole flow at once. Teams puts any number of users on one bill.
Who it suits
Founders who design their own product on a small budget. The free plan is enough to look at hundreds of apps before paying anything, and Lifetime at $199 once suits a founder who would rather not add another subscription.
It also fits a founder building for Android, which Mobbin and ScreensDesign do not cover. A switch in the header moves the library between iOS, Android and web, and flows show a whole task, such as signing up or checking out, screen by screen.
Not the right fit for
Founders who want an AI agent or Figma in the loop. AppShots names no Figma plugin, API or MCP server on its pages; Mobbin has a Figma plugin and an MCP server, and ScreensDesign an MCP server.
Founders who want business context beside the design. AppShots shows no revenue or download figures for its apps, where ScreensDesign shows an estimate on every one. There is no trial and no refund, so the free plan is the place to start.
