Our take
Founders building social posting into their own product, or handing it to an AI agent. One API replaces a developer app and an approval for each platform, and Claude Code or Cursor can drive it through Zernio's MCP server.
Pricing

The IndieHacked breakdown

What it does

Zernio, formerly Late, is a REST API for social media. One call publishes or schedules a post, with text, images, video, stories or reels, to the 16 channels it lists, among them Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Threads, Bluesky and WhatsApp. Zernio holds the developer apps and approvals for each platform, so you do not apply for your own.

The same API reads analytics, replies to comments and reviews, handles DMs and sends webhooks when a post goes out or fails. It comes with SDKs in 8 languages, a command-line tool, a dashboard with a calendar, and a hosted MCP server that Claude Code, Cursor and Codex sign in to. No-code builders reach it through n8n, Make or Zapier.

Who it suits

Founders building social posting into their product: a scheduler, a content tool, an agent that publishes for its users. Each customer gets their own profile, the API is white-label so your users never see Zernio, and a failed post is retried before a webhook tells you why.

It also suits a founder automating their own marketing from code or from an agent. With 2 accounts free and unlimited posts, a product's own Instagram and LinkedIn cost nothing to run; the bill starts with the third account.

Not the right fit for

Founders who want a scheduling app rather than an API. Zernio has a dashboard, but its pages lead with the API, and for manual scheduling of 1 to 5 accounts its own comparison says Buffer works well.

Teams that must self-host, or need Reddit today. Zernio is cloud-only, and Reddit posting is switched off since Reddit blocked third-party apps, though Reddit Ads still work. Heavy X users should set a spending cap: X's API calls are billed on top, at X's own rates.
